Revealed three years ago, the McLaren Speedtail it boasts the title of “Fastest McLaren Ever” — it was the brand's first to exceed 400 km/h — and we believe that, due to its rarity, there have been some potential customers disappointed that they didn't “arrive in time” for the purchase.

We bring good news for all of them, with the appearance not of one, but of two copies of the rare British model for sale, both announced on the PistonHeads website.

The most “affordable” model was delivered in September 2020 to its first owner, has only covered 1484 km and costs £2,499,000 (about 2.9 million euros).

This unit is Speedtail number 61 and is painted in “Burton Blue” which contrasts with red accents on the front splitter, side skirts and rear diffuser. The same color is still present on the brake calipers.

The most expensive McLaren Speedtail

The most expensive model was also one of the first to come off the production line — it's the McLaren Speedtail number eight — and traveled just 563 km.

Completely immaculate, this Speedtail presents itself with the impressive “Velocity” paint that mixes the colors “Volcano Red” and “Nerello Red”. This McLaren's exterior is joined by red carbon fiber finishes and a titanium exhaust.

As for the interior, carbon fiber is a constant and there is also the aluminum housing controls and the fact that there are screens still with the original plastic protection! In addition, this Speedtail also has a specific toolbox. How much does all this cost? The “modest” amounts to £2,650,000 (about €3.07 million).

Common to both of these McLaren Speedtails is, of course, the hybrid powertrain — which includes a twin turbo V8 — which delivers 1070 hp and 1150 Nm and allows them to reach 0 to 300 km/h in just 12.8 s. reach 403 km/h.
