Cold Start. Now you can play Mario Kart in the car

Anonim

I'm sure you've heard (even once) someone accuse today's cars of resembling computers with wheels, such is the technological level they present. Well then, the model we are talking about today is proof that whoever said it was not far from the truth.

The car in question is the Mercedes-Benz CLA and appeared at Mobile World Congress with an update of the MBUX system that would delight fans of the little Italian character and his crazy races.

To show the capabilities of the MBUX system, Mercedes-Benz had a CLA where it was possible to play the famous Mario Kart (in an open source version) on the central infotainment screen.

The most curious thing is that in addition to the karts being controlled using the pedals and steering wheel of the CLA, the ventilation outlets adjust the amount/intensity of air they send into the cabin as we accelerate in the game. On the other hand, when we suffer a regular collision, the seat belt secures us to the seat.

Although the possibility of playing Mario Kart on a CLA is just a demonstration of the capabilities of the MBUX system, Mercedes-Benz plans to make available gaming applications in their cars in the near future, it remains to be seen whether Mario Kart will be included.
