First model of Hyundai's new 100% electric model sub-brand, the IONIQ 5 is now available for pre-sale in the national market.
Effective through April 30, this online presale campaign allows you to purchase the Hyundai IONIQ 5 for 50 990 euros , with the value of the reservation set at 1000 euros.
The new electric model will have a seven-year unlimited mileage warranty, eight-year high-voltage battery warranty, seven-year roadside assistance and seven years of free annual check-ups.
The IONIQ 5
Available in rear or four-wheel drive, the new South Korean electric model is an electric crossover and is bigger than it looks. It has a length of 4,635 m and a wheelbase of an endless 3.0 m, making it an alternative rival for proposals like the Volkswagen ID.4, Ford Mustang Mach-E or its also recently known South Korean relative, the Kia EV6.
It has two entry versions, with two drive wheels with two power levels: 170 hp and 350 Nm or 218 hp and 350 Nm. The four-wheel drive version, on the other hand, adds a second electric motor on the front axle (235 hp) ensuring a maximum yield of 306 hp and 605 Nm.
The maximum speed is 185 km/h in either version and there are two batteries available, one of 58 kWh and the other of 72.6 kWh, the largest of which allows a driving range of up to 500 km.
Thanks to 800 V technology, the IONIQ 5 can charge its battery for another 100 km of driving in five minutes and reach 80% charge in 18 minutes.
The version of the Hyundai IONIQ 5 featured in this pre-launch campaign is the IONIQ 5 Vanguard. This translates into the following specifications: rear-wheel drive, 218 hp and 72.6 kWh battery that allows a WLTP combined cycle range of 480 km. The 100 km/h is reached in 7.4s.
