After Aston Martin with 25 replicas of the James Bond DB5, it was time for vanwall (the first brand to win the Formula 1 Constructors' World Championship) decided to return to producing the cars that made it famous.

In total, six continuation units (that's what they call the British brand) of the 1958 single-seater will be produced. Five will be sold while the sixth unit will be part of the “Vanwall Historic Racing Team”.

Equipped with a 2.5 l produced according to the original drawings and expected to provide 270 hp, each unit will be produced by hand and will take thousands of hours to build.

As for the price, each unit of these Formula 1 Vanwalls will cost, ex-tax, 1.65 million pounds, around 1.83 million euros. According to Andrew Garner, president of Vanwall, "these cars will be able to race in historic Formula 1 races, allowing us to anticipate a return to the duels of the 1950s".
