The Citroën Jumpy and Space Tourer can now become the «Type HG»

In 2017, Fabrizio Caselani and David Obendorfer delighted retro van fans by revealing a kit that transformed the Citroën Jumper into the iconic «Type H». Now, three years later, Caselani was inspired by the iconic model and decided to transform the Citroën Jumpy and Space Tourer into the «Type HG».

As with the Jumper, the panels that transform the Jumpy and Space Tourer into the «Type HG» can be installed without major modifications. The end result is a model whose similarities to the «Type H» are undeniable, whether because of the round headlamps or the corrugated “plate”.

In total, the «Type HG» will be available in five variants, including passenger, mixed and freight-only versions. As with the Citroën Jumpy and Space Tourer, we have three lengths to choose from — XS, M and XL — and you can count on up to eight seats.

As for the engines, in addition to the traditional Diesel engines (ranging from the 100 hp of the 1.5 Blue HDi to the 180 hp offered by the 2.0 Blue HDi), these Citroën «Type HG» will also have an electric variant with 136 hp and 230 or 330 km of autonomy depending on the battery is 50 or 75 kWh.

How much will it cost?

After only 70 copies of the new “Type H” have been produced, the big question is how many units of the “Type HG” will be produced.

Regardless of the number of units to be produced, the kit costs 14,800 euros, not counting the Citroën Jumpy and Space Tourer that will be transformed. If you want to know better the prices of these retro vans, you can find them all here.
