The Ingolstadt brand is considering a spicy version of its new compact crossover, the Audi Q2.
While we wait for the launch of the Audi Q2 on the domestic market – closer to the end of the year – the German brand is leaving our mouths watering with rumors pointing to a sporty variant, more powerful and with a more aggressive and dynamic appearance .According to Stephan Knirsch, member of the Technological Development Council of Audi, he guarantees that it would be “relatively easy” to produce an SQ2, bearing in mind that the compact crossover currently integrates the same platform (MQB) as the Audi A3 and S3. “We will have to analyze first whether there will be demand for more expensive versions of the Audi Q2”, said Knirsch.

According to AutoExpress, the German model is likely to adopt a variant of the 2.0 TFSI block with 300 hp and quattro all-wheel drive system. It is even possible that an RS version with a power close to 400 hp will emerge, to be launched in 2018.
