Volkswagen T-Cross is expected to be the name of the German model that will rival the Nissan Juke.

The crossover segment is in full swing and now it's Volkswagen's turn to join the party with the new Volkswagen T-Cross, a model that will be based on the Volkswagen Polo. According to sources close to the Wolfsburg brand, this new model will be positioned below the Tiguan and the Touareg, having as rivals the Nissan Juke and Mazda CX-3.

But that's not all: also the T-ROC Concept (in the highlighted image), a larger model based on the Golf, will have a 5-door production version, which should be presented in 2017. Both will use the MQB platform and share some elements like the front grill. They will be available in diesel, petrol and plug-in hybrid versions.

In aesthetic terms, the two vehicles will have lines similar to the other models of the brand, guaranteed the design director at Volkswagen, Klaus Bischoff. For more news, we will have to wait until the 3rd of March, when the 86th edition of the Geneva Motor Show starts.
