Volkswagen Polo GTI Convertible. Doesn't it cost to dream?

It was last week that we got to know the sixth generation of the Volkswagen Polo, the biggest and most technological Polo ever – you know all the details here.

Volkswagen guarantees that the new Polo will be offered exclusively with five doors, even in the GTI version. But that didn't stop the Hungarian X-Tomi from imagining the utility in a three-door GTI version, and to help the party… cabriolet!

At the top of the food chain is the Polo GTI, equipped with a 2.0 TSI engine with 200 hp, which will allow accelerations from 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds.

According to this designer, the inspiration was the Golf Cabrio, a type of bodywork that never reached the Polo. And the chances of this happening in this new generation are almost nil.

But this wasn't X-Tomi's only rendering of the new Polo. If we exclude the limited production model released in 2012 - the Polo R WRC Edition -, unlike the Golf, the Polo has never received an R version before. Is it this one?

In anticipation of the launch of the future hot hatch, the Hungarian designer imagined his own version of the Volkswagen Polo R.

Taking the Polo R-Line as a starting point, the front section assumes the house's expenses, with larger air intakes and bodywork closer to the ground. X-Tomi took the 20-inch Dark Graphite wheels from the new Arteon. Not bad…
