Committed to reducing the average emissions of its range, Land Rover unveiled at once two new plug-in hybrids: the Land Rover Discovery Sport P300e it's the Range Rover Evoque P300e.

Already available on the domestic market, the plug-in hybrid variants of Discovery Sport and Evoque are practically indistinguishable from the rest of the range in aesthetic terms.

Therefore, the novelties appear under the bonnet, with Land Rover offering both models a new and unprecedented engine and a new eight-speed automatic transmission.

New engine is the big news

Animating the two plug-in hybrids comes the smallest engine in the Ingenium range, a 1.5 l turbo, with three cylinders and 200 hp which sends power to the front wheels and stands out for weighing 37 kg less than the four-cylinder 2.0 l version.

Associated with this, and with the task of driving the rear wheels, an electric motor with 80 kW (109 hp) appears powered by a 15 kWh battery capacity.

The end result is 309 hp and 540 Nm of power and maximum torque combined . As for the transmission, both use a new eight-speed automatic transmission.
