Between Dominic Toretto's Dodge Charger (played by Vin Diesel), Brian O'Connor's Toyota Supra (played by Paul Walker) and several Honda models, there was one car that stood out among the fleet used in the first “The Fast and the Furious”. This car was a simple Volkswagen Jetta white, owned by Jesse (played by Chad Lindberg).
If you were a fan of the car the first time you saw the movie, you will know that the one that is probably the most famous Volkswagen Jetta in the world is for sale and it could be yours.
The car was offered for sale by the Luxury Auto Collection company (from Scottsdale, Arizona) and costs…$99,900 (about 88,000 euros). Is it a lot of money for a Jetta? Absolutely, but this isn't just any Jetta.

The truth is that if you had tried to buy the Jetta three years ago, when it was first auctioned, you would have paid only $42,000 (about €37,000). However, the car has been missing from 2016 until today and it is only now that its whereabouts are known again.

In mechanical terms it's no wonder the Jetta was no competition for the Honda S2000, with which it lost the drag race in Furious Speed. Under the bonnet is a 2.0l turbo engine coupled with a four-speed automatic. Given these characteristics, we do not advise those who buy the car to decide to bet the booklet on a race, as Jesse did in the movie.
The changes are notorious, but we continue to think that they are not enough to face a Honda S2000.
Inside comes a Sparco steering wheel (with nitro buttons and everything!), drums, an Alpine sound system (with a retractable screen), a phone (don't forget the first movie came out about 20 years ago) and … a Playstation 2, to make you miss your childhood days.
The fashion for putting screens on the dashboard is not new. But we think they are currently better integrated.
When we open the trunk, the speakers from the sound system and the nitrous oxide bottle appear (it's probably empty, Jesse used it all). On the outside, the car looks exactly as it appeared in the movie, with just one difference. Is that the back spoiler appears the autograph of Chad Lindberg (who played the character Jesse) and Paul Walker (director Rob Cohen's autograph appears on the dashboard).
The only change to the Jetta's exterior since it appeared in the film: Paul Walker's signature.
