Lotus Evora GT430. The most powerful production model ever from Lotus

Anonim

Lotus has not stopped offering us with constant evolutions of their models – and we appreciate it. This time, the British brand announced what is its most powerful road-legal model ever. Ladies and gentlemen, the new Lotus Evora GT430.

The most powerful element of the Evora family debuts a more efficient aerodynamic package and even specific body panels. Rear and front bumpers, front splitter, rear wing and even the roof have been redesigned (all in carbon fiber, of course), contributing to higher downforce levels: around 250 kg over the rear axle at a maximum speed of 305 km/ H.

And because we are talking about a Lotus, we are forced to talk about weight. By accumulating only 1258 kg on the scale (dry weight), the new Evora GT430 is 26 kg lighter than the Evora Sport 410, presented at the Geneva Motor Show last year. Compared to the 2015 Evora 400, the difference is 96 kg. The diet is working…

As for the engine, as the name implies, the 3.5 V6 block started to deliver 430 hp of power (+20 hp) and 440 Nm of torque (+20 Nm). All of this allows you to take 0.4 seconds off the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h – 3.8 seconds. This engine, originally from Toyota, is coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox. Also in the chapter of mechanical modifications, the Lotus Evora GT430 received a titanium exhaust system, as well as a Torsen differential and Ohlins TTX shock absorbers.

The result is one of the fastest Lotus ever, with the British brand announcing identical lap times on its test track between the Evora GT430 and the radical 3-Eleven.

The gray tones of the bodywork also carry over into the cabin. Sport seats, by Sparco, are made of carbon fiber, as are the door frames. For the rest, the customer can opt for finishing in leather or Alcantara fabric.

The production of the Lotus Evora GT430 will be limited to 60 units, built in Norfolk, UK. Orders are now open.
