The evolution of driving simulators would be useless if the respective hardware did not follow this evolution. The steering wheels are getting better and so are the other peripherals. The boundary between the "virtual" and the "real" is increasingly blurred.
It is in this sense that Thrustmaster has just presented the TSS Handbrake Sparco Mod, a handbrake for driving simulators. According to the brand, this peripheral is capable of simulating the behavior of a real hydraulic handbrake. Thrustmaster claims that with this device it is possible for the virtual pilot to accurately sense and dose the wheel locks.
But it's not just a handbrake. The Thrustmaster TSS Handbrake Sparco Mod also serves as a sequential gearshift lever, and the player can choose to install two of these devices, one for each feature (gearbox and handbrake).
In terms of dimensions, it is a 1:1 scale replica of the original handbrake used in rally cars and drift races. Over 90% of the Thrustmaster TSS Handbrake Sparco Mod is constructed of steel and aluminum. This system is 100% compatible with all simulators on the market, but it is only available for PC platforms. Console simulators will have to wait a little longer. There are still no prices for Portugal.
