The responsible for the brand also mentions that the IONIQ, a model available in three versions — hybrid, plug-in and electric — is an excellent basis for the ambitious green vehicle strategy to be promoted this year, notably with the new Hyundai Nexo and Hyundai Kauai Electric.

Hyundai was the first automobile manufacturer to offer an electric, hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrain in the same body. Since entering the market at the end of 2016, Hyundai has sold more than 28 000 units of units IONIQ in Europe.

The model, now awarded five stars in the ADAC EcoTest tests, also received the same maximum five-star rating in the Euro NCAP tests for safety, making it one of the most awarded and recognized eco-friendly vehicles on the market.
