At the last Paris Motor Show, Audi took to the French capital the “most powerful and dynamic model of the A3 family” – RS3 Limousine – a model that will no longer be alone at the top of the range. This is because Audi will present the new Audi RS3 Sportback.
Like the limousine variant, to power the RS3 Sportback the «rings brand» once again resorted to the services of the 2.5 TFSI five-cylinder engine, with a double injection system and variable valve control. This engine is capable of delivering 400 hp of power and 480 Nm of maximum torque, through a seven-speed S-tronic gearbox and delivered to the quattro all-wheel drive system.
In this "hot hatch" version, the performance remains unchanged compared to the three-volume variant: the RS3 Sportback takes 4.1 seconds (0.2 seconds less than the previous model) in the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h, and the maximum speed is 250 km/h with electronic limiter.
Aesthetically, there are no big surprises either. The new bumpers, side skirts and rear diffuser give the car a sportier personality and follow the brand's design language. Inside, Audi opted for a scheme of circular dials and, of course, Audi's Virtual Cockpit technology.
The new Audi RS3 Sportback can be ordered in April and the first deliveries will start in August.
