Aston Martin's next supersport to be launched in 2022

It is just one of seven new models that will be introduced until 2022.

More details were revealed about Aston Martin's plan for the coming years. The British brand is aiming for a total renewal of its range, which will culminate in a new supercar with a V8 engine in a central position, which should present itself as a natural competitor to the Ferrari 488 GTB. According to Andy Palmer, CEO of Aston Martin, the new supercar “could be the start of a new breed” of more affordable supersports.

Although it is unlikely that the new model will be able to adopt a V12 block, its development will benefit from the technology and know-how used in the AM-RB 001, the hypercar being developed between Aston Martin and Red Bull Technologies. “We do this type of project to learn from them”, says Marek Reichman, responsible for the design of the brand's models.

For now, in addition to the new V8 super sports car and the AM-RB 001, which are under great expectations, there are also two luxury saloons – which could recover the “Lagonda” designation – and also a new premium SUV. We can only wait to find out what other models will follow.
