Shortly after the unveiling of its first electric model, the Taycan, Porsche is still committed to electrifying its range and proof of this is the arrival of the Turbo S version of the Cayenne and Cayenne Coupé, which, as happened with the Panamera, passes to be plug-in hybrid as well — welcome the new ones Cayenne and Cayenne Coupé Turbo S E-Hybrid.
In both cases, the combined potency is 680 hp and is extracted from the combination of a 4.0 l V8 and 550 hp with an electric motor integrated in the eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission that delivers 136 hp. The combined torque is 900 Nm and is available from idling.
In terms of performance, both the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid and the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupé meet the requirements. 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 s and reach 295 km/h. All this while offering a autonomy in 100% electric mode of 32 km and consumption (already measured according to the WLTP cycle) from 4.8 to 5.4 l/100 km.
As for charging the 14.1 kWh lithium-ion battery that powers the plug-in hybrid system, it takes 2.4 hours to charge with the 7.2 kW on-board charger connected to a 400 V socket and 16 A or six hours on a 230 V and 10 A household outlet.
They don't lack equipment
Porsche has decided to equip the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid and Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupé as standard with the Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) electrical stabilization system, rear differential lock, high-performance braking system with ceramic brakes , 21” wheels, power steering Plus and the Sport Chrono Package.

Three-chamber adaptive air suspension, which includes Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), is also standard. As for the 22” wheels and the directional rear axle are optional.
E-Hybrid version is also new
In addition to the Turbo S E-Hybrid version, the Cayenne Coupé also received a second, more affordable plug-in hybrid version, the E-Hybrid. It uses a turbocharged 3.0 l displacement V6 and offers a combined power of 462 hp and a combined maximum torque of 700 Nm.
As for fuel consumption, the Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupé presents values between 4.0 and 4.7 l/100 km, being able to travel in 100% electric mode up to 37 km . At the same time, Porsche also made the Cayenne E-Hybrid available to order again, which now includes a petrol particulate filter.
How much will it cost?
The new Porsche Cayenne hybrids are now available for order in Portugal and have already been priced. Cayenne E-Hybrid is available from 99,233 euros while Turbo S E-Hybrid version is available from 184,452 euros . In the case of the Cayenne Coupé, the E-Hybrid version starts at 103,662 euros while the Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupé is available from 188 265 euros.
