Having overshadowed virtually all other body shapes as they asserted themselves as market leaders, the success of SUVs is undeniable.

Now, given the success that SUVs have known, it is not surprising that many electric models are also associated with the “fashion format”.

So, in this week's buying guide, we decided to bring together all the electric SUVs available on the market, and to be included in this list, the models must already have a defined price for the national market (so don't expect to see the Peugeot e- 2008 or the Kia e-Niro).

To cheer it up, we find an electric motor with 136 hp (100 kW) and 260 Nm of torque, powered by batteries with a capacity of 50 kWh that offer a range of 320 km (already in accordance with the WLTP cycle).

As for charging, it is possible to recover up to 80% of the battery capacity in just 30 minutes using a 100 kW charger. In a “normal” outlet, a full charge takes 8 hours.

Hyundai Kauai Electric — from 44,500 euros

Already mentioned in another purchase guide, Kauai Electric impresses, above all, for the autonomy it offers. Is that the battery with 64 kWh of capacity, the South Korean model can extract energy to travel 449 km between each charge.

With 204 hp, the Kauai Electric fulfills 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6s, and is still capable of reaching 167 km/h of top speed.

Charging times range from 54 minutes in a fast charging station to replenish up to 80% of the charge up to 9:35 minutes needed for a full charge in a conventional outlet.

Mercedes-Benz EQC — from 78,450 euros

From the approximately 40 thousand euros that the first two proposals in our purchase guide cost, we went to the almost 80 thousand euros requested for the first electric model produced in series by Mercedes-Benz, the EQC.

Based on the same platform as the GLC, the EQC features two electric motors (one per axle) each with 150 kW (204 hp) of power, that is, 300 kW (408 hp) in total and 760 Nm.

Supplying power to these two engines is an 80 kWh battery that offers a range of between 374 km and 416 km (WLTP) — it varies according to the level of equipment. As for charging, a 90 kW socket can be charged 80% in 40 minutes.

Elected World Car of the Year 2019, the Jaguar I-Pace won many fans in our newsroom (Guilherme even claimed to have been the best electric car he's ever driven). The reason for this success was the simple fact that the British model revealed a huge focus on dynamics.

Supporting this focus on the driving experience, the I-Pace has 400 hp and a total of 700 Nm that allows it to go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.8s and reach 200 km/h.

As for autonomy, the 90 kWh battery allows you to travel between 415 km and 470 km until you need to connect the I-Pace to the mains, and when we do, we can count on 80% of the charge in 40 minutes on a 100 charger. kW. In a 7 kW charger, charging takes a (long) 12.9 hours.

Audi e-tron — from 84,576 euros

Unveiled at the Paris Motor Show, the Audi e-tron is the first series-production tram to come out of Ingolstadt. sales are of electrified vehicles (electric and hybrid).

Talking about the e-tron, this one is about a variant of the well-known MLB platform, adapted to integrate a battery pack of 95 kWh and two electric motors (one per axle).

These two engines generate a maximum of 408 hp (although only for eight seconds and only with the “gearbox” in S, or in Dynamic mode), and in the remaining cases 360 hp is the “normal” power.

Able to perform the classic 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.6s, the e-tron announces a range of 400 km (in reality there are more 340 to 350 km) with charging times ranging from 30 min to approximately from 80% battery capacity on a 150 kW post to 8.5 hours on an 11 kW domestic wallbox.

Tesla Model X — from 95,400 euros

Not surprisingly, the Tesla Model X is the most expensive in this buying guide. Available from 95,400 euros in the Long Range version, in the Performance version the price goes up to 112,000 euros.

Equipped with 100 kWh batteries, the Model X offers 505 km of autonomy in the Long Range version and 485 km in the Performance version.

Equipped with two electric motors that deliver about 612 hp (450 kW) and 967 Nm of torque, the Model X fulfills 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6s (2.9s in the Performance version) and reaches 250 km/h H.
