Do you remember when the most shocking images show on the TV news and the presenter warns the most sensitive viewers? Well, in this case we do the same. If you are a more conservative petrolhead and the simple idea of a Ford Mustang electric makes you feel uncomfortable, so read this article with special caution.

Now that you've been warned, let us talk to you about two companies that want to transform the Ford Mustang into an… electric car . The first company, the Charge Cars is based in London and created a modernized, electric version of the original Ford Mustang (yes, the one you've seen in movies like “Bullit” or “Gone in 60 seconds”).

Underneath one of the most emblematic bodyworks in the automotive world there is a battery with a capacity of 64 kWh (which allows an autonomy of around 200 km) that powers an electric motor that delivers 408 hp (300 kW) and 1200 Nm of torque — 7500 Nm to the wheels. These numbers allow you to complete 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.09s.

THE Charge Cars plans to produce 499 units of this electric Mustang, using “officially licensed bodies”. To book one of these units, you have to pay 5,000 pounds (about 5500 euros) and the price, without options, should be around 200 thousand pounds (about 222,000 euros).

It might look like "Eleanor" from the movie "Gone in 60 Seconds" but underneath the bodywork this "Mustang" is quite different.

The Russian company claims that the Aviar R67 is “the first electric muscle car with incredible acceleration, dynamics and a high level of comfort”. Underneath the Ford Mustang-inspired bodywork, the R67 has a 100 kWh battery that offers a range of 507 km.

To give life to the Aviar R67 we find a double electric motor that delivers 851 hp of power. This allows the R67 to reach 100 km/h in 2.2s and a top speed of 250 km/h.
