New Ford Fiesta adds sales and forces increased production

Small utility vehicle with a long history in the Old Continent, the Ford Fiesta continues to be one of those proposals that, despite the years it already has and especially, now, with a new generation, continues to fascinate Europeans. This is confirmed by the demand that the model has been registering and which has even forced the oval brand to increase its daily production by around 100 cars.

Faced with demand that, at the outset, would not have been expected, Ford Europe was thus forced to increase, during these months of November and December, the number of shifts at its plant in Cologne, Germany, even creating new shifts work, also on Saturdays, as a way of boosting production to 1500 units per day.

“The previous Fiesta was already a very popular car, and if you add to that the many improvements made in the new generation, including the new pedestrian detection system, the fact is that the registered success is hardly a surprise”

Roelant de Waart, vice president of Marketing, Sales and Service, Ford Europe

Ford Fiesta best seller in UK and Germany

It should be noted that, in the UK alone, the new Ford Fiesta sold 6,434 units in November, thus placing itself at the top of new car sales. In Germany, another of the main markets for the oval brand, the North American utility vehicle reached 4,660 units during the same period, thus also becoming one of the proposals with the greatest demand in the region.
