Ford FF1 - the Formula 1 of public roads

Anonim

Ford will take to the Goodwood Festival of Speed, in July, a vehicle that promises to delight the most «radicals». Ladies. and gentlemen, I present to you the Ford FF1.

The Ford FF1 will draw (a lot!) everyone's attention, or it wasn't a single seater approved for «running» on public roads. Yes, you read that right, public roads. And if it were ever produced, trips to work would have a different flavor. Unfortunately the Ford FF1, for now is still a «technology showcase» for Ford.

Equipped with the award-winning 1.0 liter EcoBoost three-cylinder engine, the FF1 is capable of reaching a top speed of around 260 km/h. For those who think that 260 km/h is a poor speed for a single seater, then try committing an excess of these on a round of the Nurburgring. When you realize it, your heart is beating on the right side of your body.

This Ford FF1 completed a lap at the Nurburgring (circuit which is now for sale) in just 7 minutes and 22 seconds. But wait there… so this «carrito» with a 1.0 liter engine (prepared to produce 202 hp) managed to be faster than a Lamborghini Aventador or a Pagani Zonda F? The answer is yes. The truth is that we are talking about a super light vehicle and what is a "small" engine for a conventional car is a real adrenaline weapon for a single-seater of this kind. Ford also announces an improvement in consumption of around 2.8 l/100 km.

It is important to note that the street version will not come with 202 hp but 123 hp, which should not be an obstacle for anyone. The Ford FF1 will appear alongside the new Ford Fiesta ST and the legendary Ford GT40 on July 11th at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Anxious? We are…
