After having already driven a Porsche 911 GT3 in national rallies, Mex Machado dos Santos thus climbs one more step by entering, already this season, in the Nacional, a Bentley Continental GT. Something that, it should be noted, is a first not only in Portugal, but also worldwide.
The decision, however, could only be achieved with the acceptance, by the Portuguese Federation of Automobile and Karting (FPAK), of the model's participation in the National Specialty.
As for the overall management of the project, it is the responsibility of the @World+ agency, which, promising more information soon, assumes that, among the objectives, there are not only sporting aspirations, but also the promotional aspect.
The Bentley Continental GT to be used by Mex Machado dos Santos, will be derived from the GT3 that has raced in several WEC championships in the last four years. It will have to be reconfigured to comply with regulations — just like the 911, which derives from the 911 GT3 Cup. It should be a sensational sight to see the massive coupé dealing with… dirt floors.
