Following an ambitious electrification plan, the Audi A6 Avant 55 TFSI and quattro is the latest member of the Ingolstadt brand's family of plug-in hybrids.

Like other Audi plug-in hybrid models, especially the already revealed A7 55 TFSI and quattro, the A6 Avant 55 TFSI and quattro uses the same powertrain as the A7, “matching” the 2.0 TFSI four-cylinder with 252 hp and 370 Nm to an electric motor with 105 kW (143 hp) and 350 Nm.

The end result is a maximum combined power of 367hp and a maximum combined torque of 500Nm available as early as 1250rpm.

Powering the electric motor is a battery with 14.1 kWh of power that can be recharged in just 2.5 hours using a charging station with 7.4 kWh of power.

Speaking of the battery, it's in the trunk, which is why its capacity dropped from the usual 565 liters to a more modest 405 liters.

With regard to consumption, the plug-in hybrid variant of the A6 Avant announces values ​​between 1.9 and 2.1 l/100 km. The CO2 emissions are between 44 and 48 g/km.

Capable of traveling up to 51 km in 100% electric mode (and reaching 135 km/h in this mode), the Audi A6 Avant plug-in hybrid hits 250 km/h and achieves 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7s.

With three EV driving modes (100% electric); Hybrid (uses both engines) and Battery Hold (the electric motor is not used to preserve the charge in the batteries), the Audi A6 Avant 55 TFSI and quattro sees its price starting in Germany at €71 940 — still to confirm the value for Portugal.
