Equally or more important was the introduction of a KKK turbo, at 0.55 bar, without dump-valve and Kugelfischer mechanical injection — technology hitherto reserved only for aviation and which this 2002 debuted in the automotive industry.
Which brings us to the third and final “new”: the words “2002 turbo” written backwards on the front bumper. Know why? So that whoever saw him appearing in the rearview mirror could read it… and turn away from the front!
