Final Edition. Mitsubishi Pajero says goodbye to the Japanese market

Anonim

Released in 1982, since then the Mitsubishi Pajero has been, uninterruptedly, on sale in Japan. However, that is about to change, with Mitsubishi announcing the withdrawal of the Pajero from the Japanese market, this after having been sold there 640 thousand units.

Behind this decision is the drop in sales suffered by the jeep launched at the Paris Motor Show in 2006 and of which in 2018 only less than 1000 units were sold in Japan. This drop was mainly due to the high consumption of the Pajero, which led to many customers to opt for the Outlander PHEV and Eclipse Cross.

It has been unavailable in Portugal for a long time, so Pajero sees the doors of the domestic market close, however it should remain on sale in more than 70 countries. To mark the farewell of the Japanese market, Mitsubishi has prepared a special and limited series.
