DS 7 Crossback bolsters offer with 225 hp PureTech

With 225 hp of power and a maximum torque of 300 Nm, but also a consumption of just 5.9 l/100 km, the new DS 7 Crossback PureTech 225 announces a 6% reduction in consumption, compared to previous versions THP 205 hp, thanks to new combustion cycles, reduced friction and the adoption of a new turbocharger.

As for the new eight-speed automatic transmission, it contributes to lower fuel consumption not only through a dynamic adaptation of the gears, but also, in ECO mode, through the presence of the free wheeling function — through the decoupling of the gearbox whenever it stands up. the foot of the accelerator, allows you to roll in neutral, with the engine idling, at speeds between 20 and 130 km/h.

This engine also guarantees, and according to DS in a statement, a "drastic reduction in pollutant emissions", thanks to the presence of a GPF (Gasoline Particulate Filter) particulate filter, an even more effective depollution system in all situations and reaction of optimized combustion.

New engines on the way

Awaiting the arrival of five new thermal engines, as well as a plug-in gasoline hybrid engine (PHEV, 4×4, 300 hp), the DS 7 Crossback already has, however, four blocks that comply with the anti- Euro 6.2 pollution: this is the case of the 4-cylinder PureTech 180 and PureTech 225 Automatic, as well as the Diesel BlueHDi 130, with manual transmission, and BlueHDi 180, with automatic transmission, with consumptions below 5 l/100 km.

In the case of this newly launched engine, the DS 7 Crossback announces performances of 8.2s in acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h, as well as a top speed of 234 km/h.

In Portugal, this new DS SUV engine is available in Performance Line, So Chic and Grand Chic versions, with prices starting at 46,608.38 euros (Performance Line), 47,008.36 euros (So Chic) and 51 908 .36 euros (Grand Chic).
