THE Lancia Delta Integrale , the six-time world rally champion, continues to arouse admiration and passions. No wonder it's still a source of inspiration for so many, as this recreation of the legendary Lego model demonstrates, with “Martini” decor and all.
The level of detail we can see is impressive.
Like the real car, this Delta Integrale is powered by three electric motors, has four-wheel drive (controlled by the gearbox knob), front differential, steering (Ackermann), front and rear suspension with double wishbones and not even functional lights are missing at the front and rear.
It took its creator 15 months to complete it — many trials and errors in the process to get all the details right. The final creation, with 2584 pieces, resulted from the joining of a "chassis" composed of Lego Technic elements, while the “bodywork” is made with conventional Lego pieces.
