We tested T-Cross on video. Volkswagen's smallest SUV

Anonim

Featured last year, the T-Cross is now arriving on the Portuguese market. Developed based on the MQB A0 platform (the same, for example, as the Polo or the SEAT Arona), the T-Cross is the smallest of the German brand's SUVs.

Available with three engines, three equipment levels and 12 colors to choose from, the T-Cross is the star of our latest video test, with Diogo putting the top-of-the-range version of the new German SUV to the test.

Equipped with what is, for now, the most powerful engine in the small SUV range, the 1.0 TSI in the 115 hp version, the T-Cross also had a seven-speed DSG gearbox and the eye-catching R-Line equipment package that gives the latest Volkswagen model a sportier look.

Making space one of its main arguments, T-Cross presents itself as an interesting alternative for young (or less young) families. Let's not see, despite measuring just 4.11 m in length (12 cm less than the T-Roc) the T-Cross offers a luggage compartment with a capacity of up to 455 l and plenty of room in the rear seats.

The reason behind all this space is (a lot) due not only to the good use of the interior space, but also to the fact that the rear seats are longitudinally adjustable, which allows you to choose between having more space for the passengers' legs or a bigger one. luggage capacity.

As you'd expect when talking about a top-of-the-range version, the T-Cross is packed with equipment, featuring a virtual instrument panel, 18-inch wheels, USB sockets for the rear seats, sports steering wheel and other treats. And the price of it all? About 30 thousand euros.

To find out not only what it's like to be at the controls of the T-Cross with the 1.0 TSI 115hp and DSG box, and whether it's worth opting for the more equipped version, let's give the testimonial to Diogo Teixeira, who leads us to discover the pros and cons Volkswagen's smallest SUV.
