Mazda3 and CX-30 with Skyactiv-X engine now available in Portugal

The engine SkyActive-X , which integrates the revolutionary SPCCI (Spark Controlled Compression Ignition) system is now available in Portugal.

Mazda was the first brand to manage to put into production this technology that allows a gasoline engine to seamlessly switch between conventional spark ignition (Otto, Miller and Atkinson cycles) and combustion through compression ignition ( of the Diesel cycle), always using a spark to trigger both combustion processes.

Given the importance of this technology, Mazda Portugal decided to mark the arrival of these engines in our country at an event in Cascais, where we had the opportunity to learn about the Mazda CX-30 and Mazda3 specifications for our market.

Compared to Skyactiv-G versions with the same equipment, the Skyactiv-X engine costs 2500 euros more.

In case of Mazda3 CS (the three-pack saloon), the price range is between 34 325 and 36 770 euros.
