The most powerful Peugeot ever is getting closer

Absent in Geneva this year, Peugeot turned to Twitter to make known what is, most likely, the production version of the Peugeot 508 PSE (Peugeot Sport Engineered).

Unveiled about a year ago at the Geneva Motor Show, the sportiest of the 508 now looks ready to see the light of day, although the flashy decals are unlikely to reach the units that will be marketed.

Compared to the "normal" 508, the Peugeot 508 PSE presents itself with new bumpers, side skirts, a rear diffuser and wheels that look like they were taken from a competition model (and that's why we don't know if they will be available ).

Despite having revealed new images of the 508 PSE, Peugeot has not released any technical data. Therefore, the only values we have are those that Peugeot revealed a year ago when presenting the prototype.

At the time, the French brand announced that the 508 PSE would have a 200 hp version of the 1.6 PureTech engine that would be associated with a 110 hp front electric motor and another with 200 hp at the rear wheels for a combined power of around 350 hp.

Bearing in mind that the “cousin” DS 9 was unveiled yesterday with a plug-in hybrid variant with 360 hp, the most likely is that the sportiest of the 508 will use the same powertrain, thus presenting a combined power of 360 hp .

The fluorescent green details present on the prototype's bumper have disappeared.

For now, Peugeot still does not reveal when the presentation of the Peugeot 508 PSE will take place, so we can only wait for more information about the sportier variant of the top of the range of the Gallic brand.
