After a few months ago we unveiled the seven finalists for Car of the Year 2021, today we explain how you can watch live the voting and awarding ceremony of what is the oldest award in the automobile industry.
As you know, for one of the models to be a candidate for the award created in 1964, it has to be on sale at the time of voting in at least five European markets. In this year's edition, the jury is composed of 59 members from 23 countries, including Portugal, which is represented by Joaquim Oliveira and Francisco Mota.
After the seven finalists are revealed, in the second round of voting, the judges can distribute 25 points to the seven cars in contention. In addition, judges cannot give more than 10 points to each model, cannot place two cars in first place, and must award points to at least five of the seven candidates.

Where can I watch it live?
Candidates to succeed the Peugeot 208 as holder of the automotive industry's oldest award are: the Citroën C4; the CUPRA Formentor; the Fiat 500; the Land Rover Defender; the Skoda Octavia; the Toyota Yaris and the Volkswagen ID.3.

As for the voting and award ceremony, this takes place on Monday, March 1st, at 2 pm and you can watch it live through three links: one direct to YouTube; another that takes you to the Geneva Motor Show website and, finally, directly to the Car of the Year website.
