Cold Start. WTF mode on Hummer EV is not what you think

Anonim

THE GMC Hummer EV still continues to be talked about. The electric super pick-up brings with it several modes with specific features and they couldn't have more curious names. We have Crab mode (crab, allows you to walk diagonally); Extract mode (extraction, raises ground clearance up to 40.3 cm); and also the WTF(!) mode…

WTF mode? Yes, you read well. For those who are familiar with the English language (American version), you know what it means. An acronym for “What the f***?”, which perfectly expresses the feeling of surprise when faced with something we wouldn't have expected, not always for the best reasons.

However, in the GMC Hummer EV it takes on a completely different meaning and with a very patriotic tone: Watts To Freedom, or Watts for Freedom — colorful, isn't it?

And what does this Watts To Freedom mode do? It's the mode that gives us access to all of the 1000 hp (1014 of our horses) that this huge and heavy electric super pick-up has to offer us and that allows us to reach 100 km/h in just 3.0s — yes, one Launch Control system glorified.

If Tesla has a Ludicrous mode (ridiculous), why not a WTF mode?
