Renault Portugal has restructured its organization and is ready to face the next year with renewed leadership.

Ricardo Lopes, who, in March this year, took over the sales direction for the French brand in our country, has been Renault's new managing director in Portugal since 1 September, replacing Zineb Ghout, who was called to perform other roles within the Renault group.

In a presentation for the company that took place in Lisbon, Ricardo Lopes, who joined Renault-Nissan Portugal in 2005, as a junior product manager, spoke about the next chapters of the French brand.

Renault Group will launch ten new electric models by 2025.

As Luca de Meo advocated, in the coming years, in the Renaulution plan, Renault has to transition from a volume brand to a value brand. This could mean a lower number of registrations, but a higher value offer for our customers. This is one of the great challenges for the coming years, along with the transition of our brand to a greater technological offer. In the Portuguese case, it is not a simple transition to implement, but our dealer network and all of Renault Portugal are prepared for the challenges that new forms of mobility are presenting us.

It should be recalled that Ricardo Lopes played several roles in the after-sales areas and in 2012 took on the role of brand manager for Dacia in Portugal, having later assumed the same roles in 2014, but for the entire Iberian Peninsula.

In 2017 he became the commercial responsible for the entire southern region of Portugal and for the islands and in 2018 he was appointed marketing director for Renault Portugal.

Now, he is responsible for the French brand in our country and has already talked about the challenges he will face: “For the last 20 years, Renault has been the sales leader in Portugal, which for us represents an added responsibility and also an obligation to change for the mobility of the future”, he said.

With this change, Ricardo Lopes was replaced as sales director by Ana Seguro, 55, who has been with Renault Portugal since 1990.

Ana Segura is the new sales director for Renault Portugal.

With a degree in business management, she was product manager for Renault's light commercial vehicle range for five years, was responsible for launching Dacia in our country in 2007 and in the last decade she assumed the sales direction of RCI Bank & Services, for the network Renault/Dacia, Nissan and fleets.

The Renaulution plan is the future of the Renault Group and I am very happy to be able to contribute to continuing the implementation of this plan within Renault Portugal.
