GTI, GTE, GTD and GTX. The “family of acronyms” that Volkswagen uses to designate its sports versions will grow and the responsibility for debuting the new acronym falls on the Volkswagen ID.4 GTX.
Volkswagen's first 100% electric model to feature a sports version, it's still not known when the ID.4 GTX will hit the market, but there is a date for its unveiling: April 28th.
Regarding this new acronym, Klaus Zellmer, member of the Marketing and Sales Council of the brand, said: “The letters GT have stood for driving pleasure for a long time. Now, the “X” will build the bridge to the mobility of the future”.

Although the unveiling of the ID.4 GTX is scheduled for a few days and a teaser has even been released, most information about the sportier version of the ID.4 remains "in the secret of the gods".
Still, rumors are that the new ID.4 GTX will have a second electric motor (at the front) that will allow it to have all-wheel drive.
As for the numbers, we were not surprised that they were identical to those of “cousin” Skoda Enyaq iV RS , in other words, 306 hp that allow you to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in hurried 6.2s and reach a limited top speed of 180 km/h.
To complete all this, the Volkswagen ID.4 GTX should have a more aggressive look, a specific luminous signature, a sportier suspension and revised brakes.
