PSA introduces new Partner, Berlingo and Combo commercials

Light commercial proposals today all belonging to the PSA Group, the new Peugeot Partner, Citroën Berlingo and Opel Combo have just been unveiled in their most commercially expressive versions, after having been initially presented, in the passenger version, even before the last Geneva Motor Show.

Announcing not only a new design, but also greater functionality in any of the models, highlight, in the case of the Peugeot Partner , for the adaptation of the well-known driving station of the brand's passenger vehicles, the i-Cockpit, to the universe of commercials.

Alongside this evolution, better visibility, resulting from the adoption of exterior cameras in the lower part of the passenger side mirror and at the top of the rear doors. A solution already known to heavy commercials and whose images are projected, in the case of the Partner, on a 5″ screen positioned precisely where the interior rearview mirror is usually located.

Another novelty is the so-called Overload Alert and that manifests itself through a white LED that lights up as soon as 90% of the charging capacity is reached. If the maximum load allowed is exceeded, a yellow LED lights up, accompanied by a visual warning on the instrument panel.

Available initially in a length of 4.4 meters, with a load area of ​​1.81 m and a load volume between 3.30 and 3.80 m3, the Peugeot Partner is also offered in a version long, with 4.75 m in length and a usable length of 2.16 m and a cargo volume between 3.90 and 4.40 m3. The maximum allowed weight varies between 650 and 1000 kg, depending on the version, with the less polluting Partner being able to transport only up to 600 kg.

These values ​​are, as you would expect, the same ones you can find on the Citroën Berlingo and Opel Combo.

The new Peugeot Partner is expected to hit the markets during the month of November, at prices yet to be announced.

Citroën Berlingo with two versions for different uses

The "cousin" Citroen Berlingo , unveils a third generation without changes in the proposed lengths, M and XL, with a maximum load capacity of 1000 kg.

Available in two different versions, worker — better suited for site work, 30 mm more ground clearance, reinforced under engine protection, Grip Control and reinforced “Mud and Snow” (slush and snow) tires —; and driver — suitable for urban and long-distance deliveries with acoustic package, bi-zone climate control, seats with lumbar support adjustment, rain and light sensors, speed regulator and limiter, electric parking brake, 8'' screen and Surround system Rear Vision.

The French commercial can also be purchased in either the Crew Cab configuration, with five seats in two rows of seats, or the Extenso Cab configuration, synonymous with three seats at the front.

Citroen Berlingo 2019

Offered with more than 20 driving assistance systems, the new Berlingo is not only safer than its predecessor, it also has the Overload Alert also present at Peugeot Partner. Among the set of technologies, they range from Adaptive Cruise Control with engine-off function, to a head-up color display, wireless smartphone charger and Traction Control, as well as four connectivity systems.

In the field of powertrains, state-of-the-art blocks, among which the recently launched 1.5 BlueHDI and the well-known 1.2 PureTech gasoline - the same available at Partner and Combo -, in addition to the availability of the new eight-speed automatic gearbox.

At the moment, Citroën is already receiving orders for the new Berlingo, which should only arrive later this year.

Opel Combo in the footsteps of French “cousins”

Finally and regarding the Opel Combo, commercial that starts now with its fifth generation, bets on the same Normal and Long versions of the French models, announcing as maximum weight the same 1000 kg. Not even abdicating the same Overload Alert and the same safety and driving support systems, already mentioned in the two French “cousins”.

The same happens, moreover, with the camera system for better external visibility, and, optionally, the German model can even be equipped with a sunroof, for greater functionality.

Sales of the new generation Opel Combo are expected to start in September, after the official and world presentation of the German light commercial vehicle, during the Commercial Vehicle Show in Hannover, Germany.
