Although the Swedish brand refuses to divulge any data, for now, rumors speak, however, of the possibility that the combustion engine could guarantee 180 hp, with the electrical system ensuring another 75 hp. Together, it is estimated a total of 250 hp of power and 400 Nm of torque.
Also according to the same information, this propulsion system should also be able to guarantee an exclusively electric operation, although, once again, Volvo has revealed nothing about the maximum autonomy in this mode.
Debuting in Volvo models, this solution should also be present in Lynk & Co's proposals for Europe — 01 and 02 —, in addition to Geely's flagship for the Chinese market, the Bo Rui GE.

Still taking as an example this latest Geely model, the new hybrid system should guarantee the Volvo XC40 T5 Twin Engine consumption in the order of 1.6 l/100 km achieved, naturally, in urban routes, where the electrical system will have the opportunity to intervene more times.
The Swedish model will have a system of three modes of use — Hybrid, Power and Pure — the first of which will focus on efficiency, while the second will focus on the performance of both engines, combustion and electric.
