In English the joke works better, because the S3XY shorts are short shorts (short shorts) and the numbers chosen for the apparent absurd price, 69 and 420, were purposeful.
If you're reading 69,420 as $69K and $420 you're reading it incorrectly — it would have to be 69,420, no comma. It's actually $69 and 42 cents (just over 61 euros), or $69.42 — zero is over there.

Why these specific numbers? The sexual connotation of 69 makes your choice obvious. But the 420 has two meanings. On the one hand it's a code for…marijuana, on the other it's the value of Tesla's shares announced by Musk in a tweet that Musk would withdraw it from the stock exchange — an announcement that caused him problems with the US equivalent of our CMVM.
