Another year, another The World's Greatest Drag Race. An event organized by the publication Motor Trend, included in the election of the best sports car of the year by this publication.

As is already tradition, Motor Trend has once again brought together some of the best sports cars of the moment on the track for a respectable drag race: thirteen sports cars that total 7,251 hp of combined power. From the Dodge Viper ACR, passing through the Nissan GT-R, the new Honda NSX, the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S and ending with the Audi R8 V10 Plus, there are models for all tastes.

For all tastes, but not for all budgets. Let's see the full list:

  • Audi R8 V10 plus: 5.2 Atmospheric V10, 610 hp, all-wheel drive, 7-speed S tronic gearbox;
  • Aston Martin V12 Vantage S: 6.0 Atmospheric V12, 575 hp, rear-wheel drive, 7-speed manual transmission;
  • BMW M4 GTS: 3.0 L6 turbo, 500 hp, rear-wheel drive, 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
  • Chevrolet Camaro SS 1LE: 6.2 Atmospheric V8, 455 hp, rear-wheel drive, 6-speed manual transmission.
  • Dodge Viper ACR: 8.4 Atmospheric V10, 650 hp, rear-wheel drive, 6-speed manual transmission.
  • Dodge Charger Hellcat: 6.2 V8 Supercharged, 707 hp, rear-wheel drive, 8-speed automatic transmission.
  • Honda NSX: 3.5 V6 twin-turbo + two electric motors, 581 hp, rear-wheel drive, 9-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
  • McLaren 570S: 3.8 twin-turbo V8, 570 hp, rear-wheel drive, 9-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
  • Mercedes AMG GT-S: 4.0 twin-turbo V8, 510 hp, rear-wheel drive, 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
  • Nissan GT-R 2017: 3.8 twin-turbo V6, 570 hp, rear-wheel drive, 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
  • Porsche 911 Carrera 4S: 3.0 H6 twin-turbo, 420 hp, all-wheel drive, 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
