According to the British brand, the new electric sports car may adopt the technologies of the Porsche Mission E.

At the end of last year, Bentley CEO Wolfgang Dürheimer revealed that he is considering two new models for his portfolio, one of which would be a sports car with an eye on the future. As if Dürheimer's words weren't enough, Rolf Frech, member of the board and head of the British brand's engineering department, recently admitted that Bentley intends to take advantage of being part of the Volkswagen Group.

Thus, bearing in mind that the production of the Porsche Mission E has already received the green light to move forward, it is likely that the new electric sports car will adopt the technologies developed by Porsche, namely in terms of batteries, engines and other components of the Stuttgart model.

Although there is no official confirmation, Rolf Frech also revealed that the Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 (in the highlighted image), the concept presented at the last Geneva Motor Show, is one of the main candidates to rival the Tesla Model S, thanks to its strength and low center of gravity.

“We are still evaluating all the possibilities. I think that within the next six months to a year we will have a defined strategy, but certainly the future of Bentley will be electric”, said the responsible. In addition, the brand will commit to offering a plug-in hybrid version of all its future models.
