Razão Automóvel had already published about the Tesla Model S and its commercial success, now this model returns to the spotlight after one of its happy owners, accompanied by his 12-year-old son, traveled 681 km without stopping with his Tesla Model S They were entitled to congratulations from Elon Musk, founder of Tesla Motors, and a call from the brand's vice president, George Blankenship.
David Metcalf and his 12-year-old son managed to cover a distance of 681.5 km before being towed. They asked the Guinness Records organization for pre-approval of the feat and are already awaiting record confirmation, which can last up to 6 weeks. The model in question, the Tesla Model S, has several autonomy variants, being the one used with the most powerful batteries offered by the brand (85 kWh). This version got EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) homologation for 426.4 km, but it seems that with great care in the right foot, slightly open windows and air conditioning turned off, it is possible to exceed the mark.
