THE BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands is a study elaborated by Kantar Millward Brown, with the purpose of measuring the value of the main world brands, among them, the automobile brands. Toyota is, again, the most valuable among car brands, place occupied by the brand already 12 times in 14 editions of this ranking.

The absolute podium among the 100 most valuable brands corresponds to Google, Apple and Amazon. Toyota, despite being the most valuable among car brands, in absolute terms, is only in 36th place.

For 2017, the first three, in the automobile category, saw their value rise compared to last year. The novelty on the car podium involves the conquest of second place by Mercedes-Benz, surpassing by a narrow margin BMW, which has managed to remain in second place practically constantly, having even on two occasions surpassed Toyota.

If in last year's edition Land Rover and Porsche achieved the 9th and 10th place, this year, their places were taken by Maruti-Suzuki and Volkswagen.
