After its unveiling just over five months ago, the production of a small series of the Nissan GT-R50 is confirmed, a prototype designed to celebrate the 50th anniversary not only of the GT-R but also of Italdesign, the Italian design house founded by Giorgetto Giugiaro and Aldo Mantovani.
Starting from the latest GT-R Nismo, the GT-R50 emerged with a very distinctive bodywork — clearly GT-R in proportions and in some elements, like the rear optics, but with original aerodynamic and styling solutions — look at the rear wing or in the way the bodywork is separated into two tones.
The prototype was presented with a gray tone in combination with gold, but future customers will be able to specify the most varied type of exterior color combinations — just see the images — as well as for the interior coverings.

It's not just show-off
It's not just the look of the Nissan GT-R50 that has been “finished”. The VR38DETT, the 3.8 V6 twin turbo that powers the GT-R, was also the focus of attention from Nissan, further raising the performance potential of the already ballistic GT-R Nismo, starting to debit 720 hp and 780 Nm — 120 hp and 130 Nm more than the Nismo on which it is based.
