More equipment and 14 hp for the new Audi TTS Competition Plus

Anonim

The 14 hp more guaranteed by the 2.0 TFSI is one of the main highlights of the new Audi TTS Competition Plus , the new level of equipment associated with the TTS, in both the coupé bodywork and the roadster.

The turbocharged four-cylinder with 2.0 l of capacity now produces 320 hp instead of 306 hp, with torque remaining at 400 Nm. Despite the (slight) increase in power, there seems to be no difference in terms of performance . Audi continues to announce 4.5s of the 0-100 km/h for the coupe and 4.8s for the roadster, and the top speed remains 250 km/h (limited) for both.

The S tronic transmission (seven-speed double clutch), the four-wheel drive and the magnetorheological shock absorbers are also transferred to this new specification.

Competition Plus. What else does it bring?

On the outside as standard, the TTS Competition Plus comes with LED headlamps, the brand symbol in self-adhesive film immediately in front of the rear wheel, tinted windows (on the coupé), red calipers and 20-inch wheels in glossy black. Also noteworthy is the presence of a fixed rear wing. The colors available for the Competition Plus are four: Chronos grey, Glacier white, Tango red and Turbo blue.

Inside, there's the virtual 12.3-inch cockpit and exclusive Nappa leather upholstery in ebony with contrasting stitching — in red or blue. We also see a diamond-like pattern on the front seats and an embossed “S” logo on the back. We also have elements colored in Turbo blue and Tango red (exclusive to the coupé). Also standard are various decorative notes with carbon fiber texture.

Finally, the steering wheel, with a cut base, has a mark at 12 o'clock and is covered in leather and Alcantara, with the latter material also forming part of the box's handle.

Bronze Selection

In addition to revealing the TTS Competition Plus, Audi has also unveiled a new equipment package called Bronze Selection, but which will only be available from the second quarter of 2021.

It is essentially a styling package that adds both the TTS and the other Audi TTs, a series of interior elements in bronze and copper tones (from the ventilation vents to the stitching when opting for sports seats). When this package is selected, the exterior colors are also reduced to just three: Chronos grey, Glacier white and Mythos black. The reason is because they are the colors that go best with the 20″ bronze five-arm V-shaped wheels, and with the brand logo in the same shade in front of the rear wheel.

With the Bronze Selection package also come LED headlamps and taillights, B&O audio system, aluminum inserts and an interior with more upholstery with leather and contrasting stitching. The two round tailpipes also come with personalization, coming with a chrome finish. Also the Singleframe becomes gloss black on the TT and titanium black on the TTS.

In Germany, this package will cost 6190 euros for the TT and 4490 euros for the TTS. In Portugal, prices should differ, as our VAT is 23% while German is 19%.

When arrive?

The Audi TTS Competition Plus, coupé and roadster, will start being delivered at the beginning of next year and can already be ordered in Germany, with prices starting, respectively, at 61 thousand euros and 63 700 euros. Prices have not yet been advanced for Portugal.
