Pagani Huayra Tricolore. The tribute to the aces of the air

Anonim

After creating the Zonda Tricolore in 2010, Pagani returns to honor Frecce Tricolori, the largest aerobatic air patrol in the world with the Pagani Huayra Tricolore.

Created to commemorate 60 years of the Italian Air Force's aerobatic squadron, the Huayra Tricolore will be limited in production to just three copies, each costing (before tax) 5.5 million euros.

Aeronautical look could not be missing

With a bodywork inspired by the Aermacchi MB-339A P.A.N. plane, the Huayra Tricolore pays special attention to aerodynamics. At the front we find a more pronounced front splitter and a new bumper with side extractors to improve the efficiency of the intercooler.

Backing up a bit, Pagani's latest creation received a new air intake that helps cool the V12 that equips it, an improved rear diffuser and even a new rear wing whose mounts are reminiscent of those used by the fighter plane.

Also on the outside, the Pagani Huayra Tricolore has specific decoration and wheels, and, in the center of the front hood, with a Pitot tube, the instrument used by planes to measure air speed.

And inside, what changes?

As you would expect, the interior of this very special Huayra is also full of details that take us back to the world of aeronautics. To start with, the aluminum parts were produced using aerospace alloys.

However, the biggest novelty is the installation of an anemometer on the instrument panel that works together with the Pitot tube to reveal the wind speed.

And mechanics?

To liven up the Pagani Huayra Tricolore, as in other Huayra, we find the Mercedes-Benz twin-turbo V12, here with 840 hp and 1100 Nm, which is associated with a sequential gearbox with seven relations. Finally, the chassis is produced using Carbo-Titanium and Carbo-Triax, all to improve structural rigidity.
