Cold Start. I WANT! Hummer H1, the horror of… track days?!

Anonim

If yesterday we brought an MX-5 prepared for off road, today we bring the worst off road ass prepared to attack any track day. Mil-Spec took a Hummer H1 four-port pick-up truck—the original Hummer, a direct descendant of the Humvee—and for some reason thought it made an excellent circuit machine.

And nothing was left to chance. First step, "gluing" it to the asphalt — the suspension was completely reconfigured, with the adoption of coilovers and a 17.78 cm (7″) mega drawdown ! The brakes were also overhauled with the calipers now having six pistons and the tires are — be amazed — low-profile Pirelli P Zero!

It retains the 6.6 V8 Duramax Diesel engine, but it is far from being stocked — power “exploded” from 308 hp to 800 hp and torque from 820 Nm to a mega-2033 Nm capable of shaking the ground.

Want one? They can't buy it, but Mil-Spec, after seeing the interest generated, and if they have deep enough pockets, may consider building more specimens. It's hilarious — and scary — to imagine this Hummer H1 “chasing” from the most seasoned hot hatch to Porsche 911 GT3 regulars on any circuit…
