It is not every day that you have the opportunity to have a rarity in the car world in your garage.

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the brand and the three manufacturers' titles in the World Rally Championship, between 1995 and 1997, the Japanese brand launched in 1998 the Subaru Impreza 22B STI. Only 400 units were produced worldwide (which sold out in 30 minutes), and one of them – number 307 – will now be auctioned by Silverstone Auctions.

In terms of design, the sports car adopted the same bodywork as the competition models and received an adjustable rear wing. Bilstein's suspension and Brembo's brakes were also carried over from the rally version, while the clutch was improved. Under the hood, the Subaru Impreza 22B STI is powered by a 4-cylinder 2.2 liter E22 engine with 284 hp.
