First Mazda CXperience 2020 takes SUV caravan to Alentejo

Last Saturday, March 7th, tradition returned to being fulfilled and Mazda CXperience took about 50 models from Mazda's SUV range to the road — made up of the CX-3, CX-30 and CX-5.

In total, the first Mazda CXperience of 2020, called “Passeio P’lo Alentejo”, brought together 140 people and allowed to explore the adventurous capabilities of the three SUVs of the Japanese brand.

Integrated in the caravan of the “Passeio P’lo Alentejo” were Diogo Teixeira and Guilherme Costa who, driving a Mazda CX-30, went to discover the Alentejo plains and the adventurous “vein” of the latest Mazda SUV.

There are many, aren't they? In total, the caravan of the first “Mazda CXperience” had around 50 cars.

Arraiolos, the center of "operations"

In this first Mazda CXperience of 2020, the village of Arraiolos was chosen to be the nerve center. It was there, at the local inn, that the participants met in the morning, with space for a welcome coffee and a visit to the chapel adjacent to that hotel.

Then the caravan set out on a route of about 90 km — 6 km of which on dirt roads — and which formed part of the Camino de Santiago. This route ended in the town of Terrugem where lunch was held.

Along the “Passeio P’lo Alentejo” Mazda SUVs were able to demonstrate their adventurous side.

In the afternoon, two routes were covered, one with 33 km and the other with 38 km, which took the caravan to São Pedro do Corval, a location where Mazda CXperience participants were able to visit the Pottery Patalim.

Finally, the last five kilometers of the “Passeio P’lo Alentejo” took the caravan to the “Sharish” distillery, on the outskirts of Reguengos de Monsaraz, where there was not only a visit to the facilities, but also a tasting of national gins.
