THE Lamborghini Urus , is defined by the bull brand as a Super Sports SUV, that is, a Super SUV or SSUV. The “super” part of the Urus comes not only from its angular style, influenced by the Aventador and Huracán, but also from its specifications.
Under the bonnet we may not have a V10 or V12, but the 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 from the Lamborghini Urus features respectable numbers. It delivers 650 hp at 6000 rpm and from 2250 rpm we already have 850 Nm of maximum torque available.
Values that make it possible to accelerate the SSUV's almost 2.3 tonnes, up to 100 km/h in just 3.6 s, up to 200 km/h in 12.8 if it reaches a top speed of 305 km/h — over 300 km/h in an SUV.
The transmission is carried out through an automatic eight-speed gearbox, with four wheels, with active torque vectoring. Dynamically it has the aid of a directional rear axle, capable of increasing maneuverability, agility and, at high speeds, stability. The suspension is adaptive pneumatic, and to stop the Urus, the braking system has carbon-ceramic discs.
The brand defines Urus as having a “multifaceted personality” , able to adapt to a multitude of occasions — whether as a quick and comfortable way to make long journeys, or by taking advantage of its dynamic skills both on and off tarmac. The Lamborghini Urus has six driving modes plus an Ego mode (single mode).
