The British brand did not stop at half measures and developed what it claims to be the fastest four-seater luxury model on the planet. Get to know the new Bentley Continental Supersports in detail.

Promised is due. Bentley has just unveiled its new production model, and as we had speculated, it is top of the range Bentley Continental Supersports.

On the outside, the sports car features new bumpers (front/rear) with carbon fiber components, new air intakes, side skirts, ceramic brakes hidden behind the new set of 21-inch wheels and, finally, finishes in black all over the body. Also available as an option is the carbon fiber rear wing and the front splitter.

Inside, the Bentley Continental Supersports comes equipped with Alcantara leather seats and door panels, both in a “diamond” pattern, in a mix of luxury and exclusivity.

And if in aesthetic terms the British brand promised that this would be the most radical Bentley ever, in mechanical terms the Continental Supersports is also the most powerful. To the well-known 6.0-liter W12 engine, coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission, the brand's engineers added a pair of high-performance turbos and opted for a new cooling system, in addition to other minor fixes. Result: a total of 710 hp of power and 1017 Nm of torque.

Thanks to this – and also to the new traction control system, combined with the torque vectoring system derived from the GT3-R – Bentley is proud to announce features that are also unprecedented in the brand's history. Accelerations from 0 to 100 km/h are accomplished in just 3.5 seconds (3.9 seconds in the future convertible version), while the top speed reaches 336 km/h.

The new Bentley Continental Supersports is expected to be present at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The launch date is scheduled for the end of the year, when the new generation of Continental may also be presented.
