Following the electrification trend that has become the norm in the Audi range, the Q8 also received not one, but two plug-in hybrid versions, thus giving birth to the Audi Q8 TFSI and.
As with the Q7 TFSI e, the new Q8 TFSI and “marries” the 3.0 TFSI V6 of 340hp and 450Nm with an electric motor. In the most powerful version, the Q8 55 TFSI and quattro , the maximum combined power rises to 381 hp and 600 Nm. Q8 60 TFSI and quattro , this value rises to 462 hp and 700 Nm.
Powering the electric motor is a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 17.8 kWh. Capable of being recharged in about two and a half hours in a 7.4 kW wallbox, this battery allows autonomy in 100% electric mode of up to 47 km (WLTP cycle). The only drawback is that it led to the loss of 100 liters of luggage capacity (it is now 505 l).
With a top speed of 135 km/h in 100% electric mode, the new Q8 TFSI and has a top speed of 240 km/h and in the 60 TFSI version and quattro 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4s less powerful version the 100 km/h arrives in 5.8s).

As you would expect, the plug-in hybrid version of the Audi Q8 features an energy regeneration system. When braking, it is capable of generating 80 kW and when driving in “sailing” mode it generates up to 25 kW.
It is not easy to distinguish the Q8 TFSI and the rest based on the aesthetic chapter.
According to Audi, pre-sales of the Q8 TFSI and are expected to begin shortly. The less powerful version should cost, in Germany, from 75 351 euros while the more powerful version will see its price start in that market at 92 800 euros.
For now, both the price in Portugal and the date of arrival on the national market of the plug-in hybrid variant of the Audi Q8 remain unknown.
