Although Porsche has yet to reveal prices or show the Taykan , the public seems eager to buy the first 100% electric model from the Stuttgart brand. Speaking to the Australian website CarAdvice, a Porsche representative let slip that there are already many interested in the new model in the country, and beyond.

It's true that no one has seen or been able to try the Taycan yet, but expectations have been so high that the brand has already accepted several pre-bookings in the United States and, according to CarAdvice, there are already 2000 pre-bookings in Norway.

The few known specs of the Taycan came from Porsche itself. The brand's first 100% electric model will come with two engines that allow it to reach 100 km/h in less than 3.5s and that drive it up to 200 km/h in 12s. And the potency? About 590 hp (440 Kw).

Modest production targets meet demand

The high expectations that the Taycan is creating could lead Porsche to rethink its production target of 20,000 units per year for its new model. The Taycan is expected to be launched at the end of 2019 and so the brand is concerned that the announced production values will not be able to keep up with demand.
